The NFL has been around for 103 yards. Everyone is still confused as to what constitutes a catch.
Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase had a touchdown taken away against the Buffalo Bills in the playoffs on Sunday.
Cincinnati quarterback Joe Burrow tossed a perfect ball to Chase in the back of the end zone. Chase got three feet inbounds but Buffalo linebacker Matt Milano stuck with the play and got a hand on the ball as Chase slid to the ground. That caused the ball to slide in Chase’s hands out of bounds. The ball eventually moved down to Chase’s stomach as he was on his back.
The play was initially ruled a touchdown but it was reversed to an incompletion after a review. Cincinnati settled for a field goal and 17-7 lead late in the second quarter.
