According to Imran Khan, after his arrest, rumors of his death and torture in custody were spread as part of a conspiracy to incite public anger and bring him to the streets.

In fact, these rumors were spread by Tehreek-e-Insaaf leaders themselves, and PTI’s official accounts and their supporting media.
