Punjab leader of India’s opposition party Congress and former cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu was released from Patiala jail.
Last year, the Indian Supreme Court sentenced Sidhu to one year in jail in a 34-year-old accident case in which one person died.
Sidhu was imprisoned in Patiala jail for 10 months, but he was released today, two months before the completion of his sentence.
Jail officials said that Sidhuki was released two months ago due to good behavior in jail.
On his release, Congress workers greeted the leader outside the jail by beating dust.
