In the third T20I against Afghanistan, Pakistani fast bowler Ehsanullah retired Hurt by injuring Afghan batsman Najibullah Zadran with his fast bouncer.
In the third T20 match in Sharjah on Monday, Pakistan won by 66 runs, but Afghanistan won the series 1-2.
In the last T20 of the series, Pakistan set a target of 183 runs, in response, the Afghan team scored 116 runs in the 19th over and lost the match by 66 runs.
Chasing the target against Pakistan, Afghan batsman Najibullah Zadran was injured by a fast bouncer from Pakistani bowler Ehsanullah.
In the 11th over of Afghanistan’s innings, when Najeebullah Zadran came to bat at the crease, Ehsanullah gave him a bouncer which he failed to play and the ball hit the lower part of the face inside the helmet and blood started gushing out.
Najeebullah Zadran could not continue batting due to injury and retired hurt.
After the Afghan player was injured by Ehsanullah’s fast bouncer, the cricket fans remembered former Pakistani bowler Shoaib Akhtar.
Shoaib Akhtar has injured many players including Brian Lara, Gary Christian and sent him off the field with his fast balls in the past.
Ehsanullah’s bouncer on Najeebullah was compared by social media users to Shoaib Akhtar’s bouncer on Brian Lara.
