In the Indian state of Punjab, a major operation was conducted to arrest the head of ‘Waris Punjab De’ and the Khalsa leader for the attack on the police station a few days ago.
According to Indian media, the police conducted a large-scale operation in Jalandhar’s Mehetpur area on the information of intelligence agencies, in which 6 close associates of Waris Punjab De chief were detained, while Khalsa leader Amrit Pal escaped from police arrest. They managed to escape.
The administration of Indian Punjab has suspended internet service across the province till Sunday.
It should be remembered that a large number of Sikh community members stormed and vandalized the Ajnala police station in Indian Punjab last month against the arrest of a colleague.
