Pakistan Super League (PSL) team Peshawar Zalmi’s leg-spinner Usman Qadir revealed the secret of his unique celebration on Jason Roy’s wicket against Quetta Gladiators.
Peshawar Zalmi defeated Quetta Gladiators by 4 wickets in the 9th match of PSL on Monday.
Peshawar Zalmi won the toss and invited Quetta to bat and Quetta scored 154 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in the scheduled overs. Iftikhar Ahmed 50, Sarfraz Ahmed 39 and Odin Smith scored 25 runs from Quetta.
Usman Qadir took 2 wickets on behalf of Peshawar. In response, Peshawar achieved the target in 18.3 overs for the loss of 6 wickets.
During Quetta’s innings, when Usman Qadir bowled Jason Roy, he made an A and a Q in the air after taking the wicket.
Telling the secret of this celebration, Usman Qadir says that “A” and “Q” refer to the father’s name Abdul Qadir.
Usman Qadir said that he did not do it by planning, he came up with the idea all of a sudden and dedicated the wicket to his father.
