A Chinese woman was sentenced to 12 years in prison for stealing valuables worth Rs 4 crore from her friend’s house and replacing them with counterfeit goods.
According to a foreign news agency, a Chinese woman named Liu stole her friend Kao’s valuables worth one million yuan (about one hundred and forty-six thousand dollars) 3 years ago and replaced them with fake goods. Items include handbags, jewelery and expensive clothes from well-known brands.
According to the foreign news agency, Cao and Liu had known each other for years, but in 2019, when Cao bought a new house in China, she left the key to her friend Liu for renovation due to being far from the city.
