West Indies beat Pakistan by three runs in the International Cricket Council (ICC) Women’s T20 World Cup.
In the match played in Paarl, South Africa, West Indian Women won the toss and decided to bat.
West Indies scored 116 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the allotted 20 overs, Rashada Williams scored 30 runs, Haley Mathews scored 20 runs and Shayman Campbell scored 22 runs.
On behalf of Pakistan, Nida Dar dismissed two players.
In pursuit of the target, the Pakistani batting line faltered in the beginning, then captain Bisma Maruf scored 26 runs and Nida Dar scored 27 runs to keep the hope of victory alive. In the end, Alia Riaz took an aggressive approach but could not give the team victory and she got out after scoring 29 runs.
Pakistan team managed to score 113 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the allotted 20 overs and faced defeat by three runs.
After this defeat, Pakistan has two points in three matches in the World Cup.
