Police arrested one suspect after identifying three suspects at the Muslim League (N) workers’ convention in Rawalpindi.
According to the police, after identifying three suspects, one was arrested and the other two suspects escaped.
The police said that the arrested person’s pistol has been recovered and he has been shifted to the police station.
SP Potohar Waqas Khan said that the suspect was arrested near the meeting hall, the suspect was arrested at the police picket.
He said that a pistol was recovered from the arrested person, investigation is going on.
On the other hand, according to the police spokesperson, foolproof security arrangements were made for the convention of the political party and during the checking, an accused with a previous record was arrested, from which weapons were also recovered.
The police spokesman said that the accused was identified as Muhammad Jameel, the accused has a previous record, has been involved in cases of theft and robbery.
He said that the accused is being investigated further, a case will be registered and challaned.
It should be noted that a workers’ convention was held in Rawalpindi by Muslim League (N) in which other leaders including Maryam Nawaz and Shahid Khaqan Abbasi also addressed.
