Sindh Governor Kamran Tesori went to Bahadurabad, the headquarters of MQM Pakistan, where he met the leadership of MQM.

Later speaking to the media, MQM Pakistan convener Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said that Sindh Governor Kamran Tesori came to us today with an important message from the federation.

He said that Khalid Maqbool said that all preparations have been made for the sit-in. I have requested Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui to postpone the sit-in. MQM demanded that the constituencies be fixed. Talks have also been held with Zardari and Sindh Chief Minister.

Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said that we have taken the step we have taken under great compulsion, if anyone has the right to sit in this city, it is ours, we have given priority to the national interest and not to our political needs.

He said that the MQM coordination committee will take a decision in consultation tonight, as soon as the peace exercises are completed, they will decide the date of the sit-in.

He further said that when the democracy of Pakistan needed us, we have sacrificed, the aim of our struggle is Pakistan first.

Convener MQM Pakistan said that till date Karachi is the economic, industrial and ideological capital of Pakistan, its peace is linked to the peace of Pakistan, the development of Karachi is linked to the development of the country.

He said that we gave up our right and put the interest of the country first. In the past, many parties neglected the interest of the country and continued their political agenda. When the Sindh government wrote a letter, it was accepted by the Election Commission. There was no option not to.
