Murree court granted bail to former interior minister Sheikh Rasheed after his arrest in the case of interference in government.
Judicial Magistrate Murree Muhammad Zeeshan heard the case filed against Sheikh Rasheed in the Murree police station.
On behalf of Sheikh Rasheed, his lawyer Advocate Sardar Abdul Raziq Khan appeared in the court.
After hearing the arguments on the bail application of Sheikh Rasheed, the court reserved the decision.
Later, the Judicial Magistrate Marri Muhammad Zeeshan passed the decision and approved Sheikh Rasheed’s bail against a surety of Rs 50,000.
It should be noted that a case has been registered against Sheikh Rasheed under the provisions of interference in the government for resisting the police and tearing the officer’s uniform during his arrest.
On February 9, Murree court rejected Sheikh Rasheed Murree’s request for 3-day physical remand of Sheikh Rasheed and ordered him to be sent to jail on 14-day judicial remand.
