The Animal Welfare Board of India has withdrawn its decision to celebrate ‘Cow Hug Day’ on February 14 (Valentine’s Day).
Recently, the Animal Welfare Board of India had appealed to the citizens to observe ‘Cow Hug Day’ on February 14.
The board said that our religious traditions are on the verge of extinction due to western culture and culture, so everyone should celebrate February 14 as a day to hug the cow and share happiness with each other.
The Animal Welfare Board of India’s appeal was heavily criticized and ridiculed on social media, after which the Welfare Board has now withdrawn the appeal.
The Animal Board’s appeal to celebrate Cow Hugging Day reached the Indian Parliament and was severely criticized by several opposition leaders.
Keep in mind that cow has a religious status in India and is worshiped by a large number of Hindus, which is the reason why cow slaughter is banned in India.
