Lithium deposits have been discovered for the first time in India.

Geological Survey of India (GSI) said that for the first time in history we have discovered lithium deposits.

It should be noted that lithium is an important metal used in the batteries of mobile phones, laptop computers and electric vehicles.

In a statement issued by the GSI, it was stated that lithium reserves have been discovered in Reasi district of Occupied Kashmir.

According to the statement, there are an estimated 5.9 lakh tonnes of lithium reserves.

The worldwide demand for metals like lithium has increased in recent years due to the development of environment-friendly technologies to overcome the problem of climate change.

A lot of efforts were being made by India to achieve it at the global level.
