The US imposed sanctions on Iran’s petrochemical and other companies under new sanctions on Iran.
According to the US Treasury Department, sanctions have been imposed on 6 Iranian petrochemical companies, their subsidiaries, three companies in Malaysia and Singapore.
These companies are accused of producing, selling and shipping Iranian petrochemicals and petroleum to buyers in Asia in violation of US sanctions.
According to reports, Singapore and Malaysian companies have been sanctioned for their involvement in the production, sale and delivery of Iranian petrochemicals and petroleum worth millions of dollars.
Companies included in the sanctions may be banned from doing business with US companies and the assets of these companies located in the US may also be seized.
