Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said that more than 11,000 people have died due to the earthquake in the south of Turkey and the northwest of Syria.
Condemning the criticism of the government’s efforts regarding the ongoing relief activities in the earthquake-affected regions of Turkey, President Erdogan said that at such a critical time, people cannot be allowed to run negative campaigns for their political interests. Time to show unity and solidarity.
Talking to the media after reaching the earthquake-affected province of Hatay, he said that the number of deaths due to the earthquake in Turkey has reached 9 thousand 57. It is not possible to prepare for such a big disaster at once.
The Turkish president said that aid teams from 18 countries are busy in Hatay province, they will speed up the removal of debris and reconstruction of houses in the affected areas.
