The Ministry of Finance said that the total income from July to December was 4698 billion rupees and the total expenditure during the same period was 6382 billion rupees.
According to the Ministry of Finance, the tax income in 6 months was 3731 billion rupees, of which the federal income was 3428 billion rupees and the provincial income was 303 billion rupees.
The Ministry of Finance said that from July to December, the non-tax income was 967 billion rupees, the current expenditure was 6061 billion rupees, 2573 billion rupees were spent on interest payments and 638 billion rupees were spent on defense in 6 months.
The Ministry of Finance said that 296 billion rupees were borrowed from external sources to meet the budget deficit, 1979 billion rupees were obtained from local sources.
