The Taliban government in Afghanistan has announced financial assistance to the earthquake victims of Turkey and Syria.
The statement issued by the Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the Islamic Emirate expresses its condolences to the families and people of the victims of the recent earthquake in Syria and Turkey, and shares the grief of its bereaved Muslim brothers in this difficult time.
The Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced 10 million Afghanis (more than 100,000 dollars) for the victims of the earthquake in Turkey and 5 million Afghanis (55,000 US dollars) for the victims of Syria.
The Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that our rescue and health teams are also ready to participate in rescue operations if necessary.
The Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs also directed the Afghan citizens living in Turkey to cooperate with the earthquake victims in all possible ways.
On the other hand, there are reports of Afghan citizens also being killed in the worst earthquake in Turkey.
According to the spokesman of the Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, 100 Afghans have been killed and injured in the earthquake in Turkey and the houses of around 100 have been destroyed.
It should be noted that the death toll in the devastating earthquake in Turkey and Syria has exceeded 11 thousand. 8574 people have died in Turkey and 2530 in Syria and thousands have been injured.
