On the instructions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, a special plane carrying relief goods left for Turkey.
The C-130 aircraft will carry the search and rescue team of the Army to the earthquake-affected areas. A PIA flight will take 50 people and 15 tons of goods to Turkey this morning.
Rescue 1122 personnel will be included in the rescue team.
C-130 plane from Lahore will leave for Istanbul today with 7 tons of relief goods. Relief supplies include tents, blankets and other essential items.
From February 8, relief supplies will be sent to Turkey and Syria from Islamabad and Lahore through daily PIA flights. Health Ministry and Army Medical teams will be sent to Turkey and Syria.
It should be noted that a severe earthquake has occurred in Turkey and Syria last night and many buildings have collapsed due to the earthquake of 7.9 magnitude, due to which the total number of deaths has exceeded 2700 and hundreds of people have been injured.
The death toll from the earthquake in Turkey has reached 1651 and 9733 people have been injured while 3471 buildings have been destroyed.
