Pakistani wicketkeeper-batsman Muhammad Rizwan is on a tour of Nepal where he met Sandeep Lamichane.
According to media reports, on Monday morning, Rizwan met the players of Nepal, including Sandeep Lamichane, who is accused of raping an 18-year-old girl.
On Sunday evening, Rizwan met Cricket Association Nepal President Chitoor Bahadur Chand and discussed various other issues including discussion on the promotion of cricket in Nepal.
President Nepal Cricket Association said that Rizwan specifically asked to meet Sandeep during his visit. .
According to reports, Rizwan will leave for home on Monday evening.
It should be noted that recently the Nepal Cricket Association lifted the ban on cricketer Sandeep Lamichane.
Sandeep Lamichane is accused of raping an 18-year-old girl in August last year. If Sandeep Lamichane is found guilty, he will be imprisoned for 10 to 12 years according to the law.
