The first payment of three million (3 million) dollars has been made to the provincial government for the mining of mineral resources in Rekodak area of Balochistan.
The first payment of three million dollars to the provincial government has been made under the agreement between the government and the Canadian company Barrick Gold Corporation for the mining of mineral resources in Rekodak area of Balochistan.
Speaking in this regard, Chief Minister Abdul Qudous Bizenjo said that the province will get 300 billion rupees annually as soon as the production from Recodec starts in 2028.
Barrack Gold has paid $3 million to the Government of Balochistan under the new partnership framework for the Rekodic project.
This amount is 70 to 75 crore rupees in Pakistani currency, with this amount, drinking water and other development works can be done in Chagai district of Balochistan where Recodek is located.
