Preparations have been completed to send the dead body of former President General (retd) Pervez Musharraf to Pakistan.
According to diplomatic officials, the Dubai Consulate has issued a NOC for the transfer of the dead body and his passport has been cancelled.
Diplomatic officials said that the body of former President Pervez Musharraf will be sent to Rawalpindi.
According to family sources, Pervez Musharraf’s body will depart from Maktoum Airport on Monday at 11 am.
It should be noted that former President General (retd) Pervez Musharraf passed away in Dubai. He was under treatment at the American Hospital in Dubai for a long time.
Former President Pervez Musharraf was born on August 11, 1943 in Delhi, he died at the age of 79.
General (retd) Pervez Musharraf assumed the post of Chief of Army Staff on October 7, 1998, on October 12, 1999, he became the Chief Executive after removing the former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and was later elected as the regular President of Pakistan by holding a referendum in April 2002.
In 2004, through the 17th amendment to the constitution, Pervez Musharraf was elected as president for another 5 years, Pervez Musharraf resigned on August 18, 2008 and left the country.
