Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police personnel repulsed the terrorist attack on the police post Pirtangi in the limits of Jandola Police Station of Tank District.
Inspector General (IG) Police Muazzam Jah Ansari said that the Tank police fought the terrorists and repelled the attack.
He said that the firing continued for 10 to 12 minutes, the people of the area reached the help of the police, but there was no loss of life in the firing incident.
He said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police is active and vigilant and there is a red alert in the province.
The IG encouraged the jawans who repelled the terrorist attack over the phone.
Moazzam Jah Ansari directed DIG Dera Ismail Khan to start a search operation in the area and said that there were reports of terrorists being injured or killed.
