Prisoners of war were exchanged in Russia and Ukraine, bodies of British volunteers were also returned -HP NEWS

Russia and Ukraine exchanged 200 prisoners of war on Saturday, while Russia also handed over the bodies of two British volunteers to Ukraine.

According to foreign media, the chief of staff of the Ukrainian president Andriy Yermak says that 116 Ukrainian prisoners have returned to the country.

On the other hand, the Russian News Agency, citing the Ministry of Defense, has said that 63 Russian prisoners of war have been released from Ukrainian prisons.

Ukrainian official Andriy Yermak wrote in his telegram that we have managed to bring back 116 of our heroes who fought for the defense of the country on the Mariupol, Kherson and Bakhmat fronts from Russian captivity.

Andriy Yermak said that the bodies of two British volunteers who died during the war in eastern Ukraine during the evacuation of civilians have also been sent to Ukraine.

According to a foreign news agency, the Russian Ministry of Defense says that 63 Russian soldiers, including sensitive category personnel, have been released from Ukraine’s prison through the mediation of the United Arab Emirates.
