The first payment of $3 million has been made to the provincial government of Balochistan under the framework of a new partnership between the government and the Canadian company Barrick Gold Corporation for the mining of mineral resources in Rekodak region of Balochistan.
Chief Minister Abdul Quddus Bizenjo hailed the payment of 3 million dollars under the Recodek project and said that the province will receive 300 billion rupees annually as soon as production starts from Recodek in 2028.
This money received under the Rekodic agreement will be used for solving drinking water and other problems in Chagai district of Balochistan, it will not be possible to use it for the government of Balochistan.
The economic experts of the province say that the income from the Rekodic project can start a new era of development in the province. In the past, 85 percent of the development funds of the province have been due to corruption, but now by closing all the doors of corruption. This revenue can be used to eliminate the backwardness of the province.
