Implementation of International Monetary Fund (IMF) conditions has begun, it has been decided to collect asset details of government officials from grades 17 to 22, government officials will not be able to hold benami property.
The Ministry of Finance has issued a notification in this regard, in which it has been made mandatory to submit details of assets of officers from grades 17 to 22 and their families.
According to the notification, government officials will have to declare all their assets at home and abroad, the details of their assets can also be shared with the relevant institutions.
According to the Finance Ministry notification, all bank officers and their family members will be required to submit their account details to the FBR twice a year.
All banks will give the details to the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on January 31 and July 31. State Bank Supervision will play a role in sharing bank account details.
Banks will appoint a focal person to assist FBR, all banks will be required to maintain account details data of government officials.
