Inspector General (IG) Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has stopped the officers from taking action against the officers participating in the protests against the Peshawar tragedy.
IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muazzam Jah Ansari has written a letter to the police chiefs of all the provincial regions, stopping them from taking any departmental action against the officials protesting against the Peshawar tragedy at various places across the province.
In his message, he said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police have sacrificed their lives in the war against terrorism, the police lines have been deeply shocked by the blast.
He wrote that police officers have also protested at a few places on Wednesday and protesting is a violation of police discipline, however, departmental action should not be taken against the officers participating in the protest.
On the other hand, while denying the rumors of collective resignation of police officers in Peshawar, CCPO Peshawar Mohammad Ijaz Khan said that the news of the resignation of officers is baseless, 1792 officers have not submitted their resignations in the CCPO office. .
