According to DPO Muhammad Naveed, 15 to 20 terrorists attacked the police station with modern weapons, and the terrorists escaped with their injured comrades after the police retaliated.
He said that all the policemen were safe in the attack, the police have surrounded the area and started a search operation.
After the attack on the police station in Mianwali, security has been put on high alert in Multan and Sargodha.
The spokesman of the Punjab Police says that the IG Punjab has formed a special committee in view of the attack on the Makarwal police station.
According to the spokesman, a special committee will plan search and combing operations.
