FBR failed to achieve tax collection target in first 7 months of current financial year -HP NEWS

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) failed to achieve the tax collection target in the first 7 months of the current financial year.

According to the sources, in the first 7 months of the current financial year, 214 billion rupees less tax was collected than the target, the target of tax collection was 4 thousand 179 billion rupees.

On the other hand, FBR says that revenue of 537 billion rupees was collected in January, the collected revenue is 23% more than the target, the target of revenue collection in January was 533 billion rupees.

According to FBR, 3 thousand 965 billion rupees were collected in the first 7 months of the current financial year, while 3 thousand 367 billion rupees were collected in the first 7 months of the previous financial year.

According to FBR, 48% more tax was collected than the previous year in terms of direct taxes, tax refunds of 208 billion rupees were issued in the first 7 months of this financial year, compared to 183 billion rupees in the same period last year. Tax refunds were issued.

FBR says that by the end of the current fiscal year, the target of tax collections of 7,470 billion rupees will be met.
