Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has announced that party chairman Imran Khan will be the only candidate in the by-elections for 33 seats of the National Assembly.
Speaking to the media after the PTI core committee meeting, Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that a meeting of the core committee and the parliamentary committee was held today under the leadership of Imran Khan, in which the political and economic situation of Pakistan was reviewed.
He said that he has decided to participate in the by-elections in 33 constituencies of the National Assembly.
He said that Imran Khan will be a candidate in all the constituencies and de-notified assembly members will submit their papers as covering candidates.
He said that Tehreek-e-Insaf will remain in the political arena, the nation is with us, the people also gave a verdict in our favor in the July 17 elections.
It should be noted that the Election Commission has released the by-election schedule for 33 vacant seats of the National Assembly, according to which the by-election for 33 vacant seats of the National Assembly will be held on March 16, for which nomination papers will be submitted from February 6 to 8.
It should be noted that last year on July 17, Imran Khan contested the election on 7 seats in the National Assembly and lost on one seat.
