Central organization Traders Pakistan and Transporters rejected the recent increase in the price of petroleum products.
Kashif Chaudhry, President of Trade Union of Pakistan, said in his statement that they reject the increase of 35 rupees per liter in the prices of petrol and diesel. The increase in the prices of petroleum products will lead to further inflation.
Kashif Chaudhry demanded that the government immediately roll back the hike in petrol and diesel prices.
Apart from this, Member of Sindh Assembly and President Pakistan Goods Transport Alliance Malik Shahzad Awan also rejected the increase in petrol and diesel prices and said that the price of petrol and diesel has been increased by Rs 35, 35 after consulting all the transporters. Meanwhile, the general secretary of Tajran Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zahir Shah says that the increase in the prices of petroleum products will bring a new storm of inflation, the government should withdraw the sensible increase in the prices of petrol and diesel.
On the other hand, the district administration of Peshawar has taken action against the closed petrol pumps in the city.
According to DC Peshawar, 8 managers of filling stations have been arrested for stopping the supply of petrol, after which the district administration has restored the supply of petrol and diesel to the filling stations.
The Deputy Commissioner has also issued instructions to the officers to continuously inspect the filling stations.
