There was no end to the surprise of the social media users when Wahab Riaz, the fast bowler of the national cricket team, was given the Sports Ministry in the caretaker cabinet of Punjab and there was a storm of memes on Twitter.
Most of the users compared Wahab Riaz’s becoming Sports Minister to Anil Kapoor’s situation in Bollywood’s super hit movie ‘Naik’ where the actor is made the Chief Minister for a day.
However, some users also congratulated Wahab Riaz on getting the Sports Ministry.
Twitter user Ehtishamul Haque wrote in his tweet using a laughing emoji, ‘Wahab Riaz will be the first sports minister, who will play Pakistan Super League (PSL)’.
Wahab Riaz is out of the country these days and has confirmed that he will come to Pakistan and take the oath of office.
