According to foreign media, in a statement issued by the US Defense Minister Lloyd Austin, it has been said that the operation in Somalia was conducted this week on the order of US President Joe Biden.
The statement said that the senior commander of Daesh, Bilal al-Sudani, was killed in the operation of American forces. No civilians were killed or injured during the operation. The commander of Daesh was targeted in a cave in the southern region of Somalia.
According to reports, al-Sudani was responsible for spreading Daesh operations in Africa and overseeing Daesh finances worldwide.
