Kabul: At least 124 people have died in the last 15 days due to severe cold and falling temperatures in Afghanistan.

According to the British news agency, the spokesman of the Ministry of Disaster Management of Afghanistan said that this time the winter is more severe than in the last decade, due to which 70 thousand cattle have also died.

According to media reports, the activities of several aid agencies in the country have also been suspended after the ban on women working under NGOs by the Afghan Taliban.

On this occasion, a government minister said that despite the deaths, there will be no change in the orders.

Acting Minister of Disaster Management Mullah Muhammad Abbas Akhund said in a conversation with the BBC that heavy snow has fallen in most areas of Afghanistan due to which the roads are cut off while military helicopters were sent for assistance but due to the mountainous areas. Due to this, the helicopter could not be landed.

According to the Acting Minister, the severity of the cold is likely to decrease in the next 10 days, but he is worried about the loss of life.
