The severe cold wave continues across the country and freezing winds started blowing in Karachi on Tuesday morning which brought down the temperature in the city.
According to the meteorological department, the temperature in Karachi was recorded around 7 degrees this morning.
Meteorological analyst Jawad Memon says that the temperature may drop by 4 to 6 degrees Celsius at night in the northern areas of Karachi.
He said that in the central and eastern regions, it may drop up to 5 to 8 degrees Celsius, but in the southern region of Karachi, the minimum temperature may drop up to 9 to 11 degrees Celsius.
According to Jawad Memon, Cold Wave Karachi could be the last severe cold wave of winter 2023.
Meanwhile, the mercury rose to six degrees in the suburbs, and a wave of severe cold has prevailed in northern Balochistan.
The temperature in Ziarat dropped to minus 17.8 degrees Celsius, the connecting roads of Pushin, Qala Saifullah, Qala Abdullah, Chaman, upper areas of Ziarat are closed due to shortage of food and medicines.
On the other hand, mobile and internet services are suspended due to bad weather in Pak-Afghan upper border areas.
