The International Cricket Council (ICC) accepted Pakistan’s position regarding the Rawalpindi wicket.
The ICC withdrew the D-merit point for the Rawalpindi wicket and said that after a review on appeal, it was determined that the wicket was not ‘below average’.
ICC said that the result of the match was 37 out of 39 wickets taken.
ICC gave D-merit point to Rawalpindi pitch after Pakistan and England Test, but Najam Sethi appealed against ICC’s decision after assuming the post.
It should be noted that England had scored more than 500 runs on the first day in the Rawalpindi Test last month, while England defeated Pakistan in this Test, while Pindi’s pitch got a demerit point during the Test series against Australia.
