KARACHI: 16 accused including former SSP Malir Rao Anwar Ahmed and 2 SHOs were involved in the Naqeebullah Mehsud murder case, whose names were included in the exit control list.
10 accused were arrested in the Naqeeb murder case, some of whom had given bail, among these accused are suspended SSP Rao Anwar Ahmed, former SHO of Shah Latif Town Sub-Inspector Amanullah Marwat, his brother ASI Ehsan. Allah Marwat, former SH and Sohrab Goth Sub-Inspector Shoaib Shooter, ASI Gada Hussain Sargani, Khair Mohammad, Ali Akbar, Head Constables Sadaqat Hussain Shah, Faisal Mehmood, Aamir Shah, in charge of the team that detained Naqeebullah. Constables Mohsin Abbas, Raja Shamim, Imran Kazmi, Riaz Ahmed and others were involved.
According to police sources, efforts were being made to arrest the accused from the Military Intelligence, ISI, Intelligence Bureau, FIA, Rangers and FC on the orders received from the Supreme Court of Pakistan, but most of the influential accused were from the police. They kept walking around in security.
