8 shopkeepers were arrested for selling flour at a price higher than the government rate in Karachi.
In Karachi, the administration has started a campaign to implement the official rate of flour, Commissioner Karachi has instructed the Deputy Commissioners to implement the official rate.
Today, action was taken against 85 shopkeepers in different districts, 8 shopkeepers were arrested for selling flour at a price higher than the official rate and a fine of Rs.397,000 was also imposed.
It should be noted that yesterday the Commissioner Karachi had issued a notification of the new price of flour according to which the price of flour has been set at Rs 98 per kg.
Commissioner Karachi has set the price of two and a half flour mills in the city at Rs 95 and retail at Rs 98.
The rate of fine flour is not included in the Commissioner’s list, while the price of milled flour has been fixed at Rs 105.
