The Chief Minister of the Indian state of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, refused to recognize Bollywood King Shah Rukh Khan.
The controversy over the screening of Shahrukh Khan’s film Pathan continues in India. On Friday, posters of the film Pathan were torn down in Indian cinemas (where the film Pathan was to be screened). The film Pathan was also set on fire.
In this regard, when the Chief Minister of Assam was questioned by media representatives, at first he refused to recognize Shah Rukh and asked who Shah Rukh? Which movie Pathan? He then said that Khan did not call me, although he is called on many such issues in Bollywood, if Shah Rukh contacts him, then I will look into the matter, he added. People should worry about Assamese film instead of Hindi.
After Hamanta Biswa Sarma’s statement, Shah Rukh Khan called the Chief Minister and then the next morning, the Chief Minister of Assam said that Shah Rukh called me and expressed his concerns about the controversy during the screening of the film in Guwahati. After which Shah Rukh has made sure that such incidents will not happen in future with action against the protesters.
It should be noted that Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone’s film Pathan will be released across India on January 25, but cinema owners in some states have asked for security for the film’s release.
