Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government and opposition agreed on the name of caretaker chief minister.
A meeting was held between Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan and Opposition Leader in Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Akram Khan Durrani in which the name of caretaker chief minister was agreed upon.
The name of Azam Khan was unanimously agreed upon in the meeting.
In this regard, Akram Durrani said that Azam Khan is our consensus candidate for the caretaker chief minister, we have chosen such a person who is acceptable to everyone, people would think that they are still stubborn if they do not decide for the caretaker chief minister.
Chief Minister Mehmood Khan said that for the first time in history, the name of caretaker chief minister was unanimously agreed upon and we agreed on Azam Khan in consultation with our leader.
Azam Khan has held other posts including Chief Secretary and he has also been a former Caretaker Federal Minister.
He has also served as Federal Secretary to the Ministries of Petroleum and Religious Affairs.
