The United States announced an additional $2.5 billion in military aid to Ukraine in the form of air defense and armored vehicles.
The US Ministry of Defense has said in its latest statement that 59 Bradley Fighting Vehicles and 90 Stryker Armored Personnel Carriers will be provided by the US to Ukraine.
According to the statement, the fresh aid package will provide more ammunition for the High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS), 8 Avenger air defense systems, 10,000 artillery rounds and 2,000 anti-armor rockets.
According to the US Ministry of Defense, after Russia’s attack on Ukraine in February of last year, the US has given $27.4 billion in military aid to Ukraine.
