Officials say that the severity of the cold this year has broken all the records of the last decade, the number of deaths due to the severity of the cold has reached 78 across the country.
According to the authorities, the temperature has dropped to minus 34 degrees Celsius in different areas of Afghanistan, while there are chances of further increase in the severity of cold in the coming weeks.
Abdullah Ahmadi, the head of Afghan Disaster Management, has appealed to the relief organizations to come forward to help the people affected by the record increase in the severity of the cold in these emergency situations.
