The Australian cricket team suffered another major setback ahead of the third Test match against India.

Australian opener David Warner was also ruled out of the Test series against India after suffering an elbow injury in the Delhi Test.

Cricket Australia says that David Warner will not be able to play the Test series due to the fracture, that is why he is going back home.

It may be noted that David Warner was ruled out on the second day of the Delhi Test due to concussion, Matthew Runshaw was included as a Test concussion replacement.

David Warner was hit on the helmet by Mohammad Siraj in the first innings and a ball hit him on the arm, X-rays revealed a fracture.

Josh Hazlewood has also been ruled out of the Test series due to fitness issues while captain Pat Cummins has returned home due to illness in the family.

The third Test between Australia and India will start on March 1.
