CIA director Bill Burns arrived in Tel Aviv yesterday, he met with Prime Minister Netanyahu and Mossad chief David Barnia.
According to foreign media, the CIA chief will also meet Palestinian leaders.
His visit to Israel was originally scheduled but was delayed due to ongoing tensions between Israel and the Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza.
U.S. Security Coordinator Lt. Gen. Michael Fenzel and the CIA also play a role in security and intelligence cooperation between Israel and Palestine.
The US intelligence chief also met Egyptian President Fatah al-Sisi on Monday during his visit to the Middle East.
US Secretary of State Anthony Blanken will visit the Middle East next week, visiting Israel on Monday and the West Bank on Tuesday.
