Imran Khan’s ex-wife Jemima Goldsmith has said that Pakistan is portrayed in a scary manner in the western media.
In an exclusive interview with Geo News in London, Jemima Goldsmith said that I have shown Pakistan as beautiful as I know it. The movie ‘What’s Love Got To Do With It?’ A love letter for Pakistan.
When asked about the film, Jemima said that I wanted to make a film that is based on the acceptance of Pakistan, I wanted to show Pakistan as a place full of colors, beautiful and full of fun.
She said that when she was in Pakistan, she used to think about how Pakistan is shown on the western screen. In Western movies like Zero Dark Thirty and Homeland, you can see that Muslims and Pakistanis are portrayed negatively.
Jemima said that I was given the opportunity to make a romantic and humorous film about Pakistan, which cast the best actors. It includes beautiful and talented Pakistani actress like Sajal Ali, big actress from India like Shabana Azmi is also acting in the movie.
Jemima added that I can show Pakistan like you and me and I am hopeful that this film will be my ‘love letter’ to Pakistan. A land where I lived early, came at the age of 20 and stayed there for 10 years.
He said that I think that Pakistan is a part of my personality, I have great affection for this country, I have many friends in Pakistan, I get a lot of love there, I am very lucky in this matter.
