Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has convened a federal cabinet meeting today, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar will brief the cabinet on the economy and Energy Minister Khurram Dastgir on power breakdown.
The federal cabinet meeting will consider the country’s political and economic situation.
Matters related to elections in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will also be discussed in the meeting.
It should be noted that the country was plunged into darkness yesterday due to a major power breakdown.
Energy Minister Khurram Dastgir Khan said that according to a careful estimate, the power supply will be fully restored in the next 12 hours, however, despite the passage of more than 16 hours, the power has not been fully restored.
