Citizens placed more than 1,000 plastic apples outside the London police headquarters in protest.

Citizens placed plastic apples outside police headquarters in protest against rising incidents of sexual harassment and domestic violence by London police officers and staff.

A British organization working against domestic violence placed red and green apples outside the new Scotland Yard building.

There was also a board attached to them that read ‘1071 rotten apples and how many’?

The protest came after a serving police officer confessed to 24 sexual assaults.

On Tuesday, the police said in a statement that it was investigating 1,711 cases of sexual harassment and domestic violence involving officers and personnel.

Police officials said hundreds of officers would be fired as a result of the investigation.

It should be noted that there are more than 43,000 officers and personnel in the London Police.
