President Arts Council Karachi Muhammad Ahmad Shah has said that the Pakistan Youth Festival will start from January 23.
A press conference regarding the 7-day Pakistan Youth Festival organized by the Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi was held at Hasina Moin Hall.
In the press conference, well-known intellectual and humorist Anwar Maqsood, President of Arts Council Muhammad Ahmad Shah and Secretary Arts Council Prof. Ijaz Farooqi gave a briefing.
President Arts Council Muhammad Ahmad Shah said that Arts Council Karachi organizes 550 programs in a year.
He said that the Pakistan Youth Festival will start on January 23, which will be inaugurated by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, and this festival will continue till January 29.
Ahmed Shah said that two lakh rupees will be awarded to the successful youth.
He said that due to Corona, the continuity of the Youth Festival was broken, which is being restarted from January 23.
He said that 50 thousand youths participated in the last youth festival.
President Arts Council said that youth are the future of this country, Arts Council Karachi has always provided opportunities to youth to develop their skills.
He said that the prize money for the successful youth in this festival has been increased to two lakh rupees and those who will not be able to get the position will be given a three-year diploma for free.
Ahmed Shah said that students of all universities and colleges of the city have been invited to participate in this festival to participate in the department of their choice, but such a talented youth, if not studying in any institution and participating in any department. If he wants, he will also be allowed.
He said that auditions will be started from January 23 in the following fields which include essay writing, painting, photography, dance, singing, acting and Urdu elocution competitions.
Various bands and singers including Asim Azhar, Ahmed Jahanzeb, Kafi Khalil, Wahab Bugti, Natasha Baig, Sahir Ali Baga, Arman Rahim, Afaq Adnan, Oj Band, Kashmir Band will perform in the Pakistan Youth Festival.
On this occasion, Anwar Maqsood said that Karachi is a city of three crores, riots are happening in the city, no matter what the situation is, the Arts Council continues its work.
He said that the Pakistan Youth Festival belongs to the youth, only one genie can control this festival and that is Ahmed Shah.
Ejaz Farooqui said that the youth festivals held in the Arts Council are highly organized, due to the Pakistan Youth Festival the talents of the youth flourish, time will tell how much the youth festival is useful in the artistic life of the youth.
