Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior leader Fawad Chaudhry has thanked the Speaker National Assembly for accepting his resignation.
In a statement, Fawad Chaudhry said that the post of Leader of Opposition will remain with PTI until 70 other resignations are accepted.
He said that the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) is also the right of Tehreek-e-Insaaf until other resignations are approved.
The PTI leader further said that it is hoped that the Chief Justice will give a verdict in the pending case of PTI.
Earlier, Fawad Chaudhry had said that the opposition leader, parliamentary leader and chairmanship of the Public Accounts Committee in the National Assembly should be given to PTI.
He also said that PTI will decide to return to the assembly after these 3 posts.
The PTI leader said that they do not want the government to be overthrown, but for the sake of Pakistan, this government has to be sent home.
