Haroon Malik, chairman of Pakistan Football Federation’s normalization committee, told the media after the football summit in Lahore that it was Pakistan’s first football summit in which all stakeholders participated, including FIFA and Asian Football Confederation. He said that we believe that the progress of the normalization committee is going well. The FIFA, AFC delegation is also satisfied with the work of the Normalization Committee but they believe that the elections are not seen even by June 2023 because it will take time to do the things that could not be done in 74 years.
Haroon Malik said that the elections are not being delayed, the work is being completed for transparency. FIFA has tried to explain the entire situation to the AFC delegation. The delegation will prepare its report after all the details, after which FIFA will decide to extend the normalization period.
